KUCHING: The public is eagerly anticipating the Sarawak-level Kita MADANI Carnival, scheduled to take place on Nov 9 and 10 at the Penview Convention Centre (PCC) in Demak.
The event offers a unique platform for the community to interact with government officials and gain insights into crucial national policies and initiatives under the Malaysia MADANI concept.
The carnival will be inaugurated by the Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information, and UKAS), Datuk Abdullah Saidol, representing the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
As per a statement from the Malaysian Department of Information (JAPEN), this outreach event aims to bridge the gap between leaders and the people, nurturing national unity and encouraging the community to embrace the values of Malaysia MADANI.
“The event will also offer government agencies a direct platform to engage with the public, ensuring that vital messages, policies, and government initiatives reach every segment of society,” the statement noted.
“Through the Kita MADANI Carnival, we aim to fortify the bond between leaders and the community, while enhancing comprehension of the Malaysia MADANI concept,” it further stated.
“It goes beyond mere information sharing. It’s about empowering citizens to actively engage in the national dialogue.”
“The two-day carnival will feature a diverse range of thrilling activities, including the Infiesta PENTARAMA, the 2025 Budget Briefing, Rahmah Sale, Craft Demonstrations, and Cocoa-Based Product Making.
“Attendees can also anticipate a Car Boot Sale, lucky draws, MADANI Community booths, service counters, food and handicraft stalls, as well as exhibitions from various government agencies.
A significant highlight will be the Sarawak MADANI Community Conclave, showcasing pivotal discussions led by the Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63, and Federal-State Relations), Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, and the Royal Malaysia Police Anti-Scam Ambassador, Rahmat Fitri Abdullah.
