KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has been selected to host the ALOHA Mental Arithmetic International Competition 2023, which will be held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre on July 30.
The competition is expected to attract 3,000 people, with more than 1000 students from more than 40 countries including China, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Panama, the Philippines, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Uzbekistan.
ALOHA Malaysia in a statement said it will be sending 250 to 300 participants to the competition.
“In this event, students must solve 70 arithmetic operations from addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, among others, in less than five minutes, to crown themselves as “World Champions,” the statement read.
The event will be attended by the Founder President of ALOHA Mental Arithmetic Loh Mun Sung, the international director and directors from all participating countries. – BERNAMA
