KUCHING: Produksi Seni Duapuluh Duapuluh Sdn Bhd’s latest cinematic offering, “Sumpahan Jerunei,” has made a significant splash at the prestigious Cannes Marché du Film screening to an enthusiastic and diverse audience.

Produced by Datin Dr Wendy Wong and Datuk Nancie Foo, “Sumpahan Jerunei” titled in English as “Fatal Expedition” has captivated audiences with its compelling narrative and high-quality production. The film’s English dubbing has particularly impressed both local and international viewers, broadening its appeal across linguistic barriers.

The screening at Cannes was attended by a host of influential figures in the film industry, including buyers from Japan, the United States, Europe, and India. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, building on the momentum the film gained at the HK Film Market in March and subsequently in Busan.

The three-week international promotional tour has not only heightened the film’s profile but also provided invaluable exposure and opportunities for the producers.
