Mambong area to have gravity-feed water supply soon

PADAWAN: The Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, through the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Sarawak, has approved RM950,000 for the implementation of a gravity-feed water supply restoration project for the Mambong area.

Special administrative officer to the Deputy Minister of Transport (Aviation and Road) Keron Mapus, said that the restoration project involved four villages namely Kampung Biya Kakas, Kampung Assum, Kampung Kamas, and Kampung Sitang.

He stated the restoration project was expected to be implemented soon and completed this year.

“This discussion focuses on the necessary restoration work to be carried out in line with the allocation approved by the ministry for each village,” he explained.

He said this while chairing a discussion session with JBALB at the Mambong Constituency Service Centre on Wednesday.
