KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today recorded one new Covid-19 death, bringing up the total to 108 deaths.
According to SDMC statement, the new death was case number 10,726, a local man (Sarawakian) aged 57 who was tested positive for Covid-19.
“The case was detected on Mar 5 through a screening test conducted at Lanang Health Clinic,” it said.
“The man was found to be symptomatic, was coughing and had a fever for a few days before admitted to the Sibu Hospital on Mar 6,” it stated.
SDMC said that the condition of the man was deteriorating and was confirmed dead today. It was discovered that the case had comorbid gout.
The committee extends its condolences to the family of the man.
