KUCHING: A 32-year-old man was detained for possessing syabu last Wednesday.
He was arrested by a team from the Padawan Narcotics Crime Investigation Division in front of a motorcycle workshop at Lorong 16, Blok C, Kampung Haji Baki here.
Police seized syabu weighing 0.30g with an estimated market value of RM60.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which entails a fine not more than RM100,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or both.
The suspect is currently remanded for four days to facilitate investigation.
