BAU: A self-employed man was arrested for drug possession in a house at Jalan Bau-Kuching, Kampung Kranji on Monday (Aug 10).
District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon told that a narcotic police team raided the unnumbered house around 9.30am and was greeted at the door by the 31-year-old man.
“The team conducted a body inspection but found nothing on the man.
“Further inspection inside the house led to the discovery of three plastic packets and a straw tube containing crystalline drug suspected to be methamphetamine,” he said in a statement.
Poge added the 1.41g drug with a street value of RM130 was found inside a black satchel, hanging by the window of the man’s bedroom.
Poge added that the man, who had no criminal record, tested positive for drugs.
The man will be remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 12 (2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
