MIRI: Police detained a 29-year-old local man for allegedly stealing 10kg of calamansi lime from his uncle’s orchard on Saturday.
The suspect was picked up from a house in Kampung Selanyau, Bekenu at 2.58pm on Saturday during an operation known as Ops Kesan.
The arrest was made following a report lodged by the suspect’s uncle.
The suspect also has a criminal record for house breaking in Batu Niah.
The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft.
