MIRI: A man was arrested for allegedly stealing six cartons of Milo from a supermarket.
The 30-year-old suspect was picked up by a CID team around 10.45am on Thursday.
During the arrest, the police also managed to seize a carton with several packets of Milo inside.
It is understood that the suspect’s motive is to resell the stolen items for money.
The suspect committed the crime on Sept 29 where he walked away from a supermarket at Jalan Cattleya with six cartons of Milo worth RM1,144.88.
His act was caught on the supermarket’s closed circuit television (CCTV) camera and a police report was lodged for further action.
Miri police chief ACP Hakemal Hawari, who confirmed the case, said the suspect was arrested at Jalan Miri Bypass.
The suspect was brought to Miri Central police station to help further the investigation.
