KUCHING: A local man was arrested by police after he was caught red-handed cannibalising a stolen motorcycle at Jalan Pinang Jawa here on Monday.
A team of personnel from Gita Police Station was on crime prevention patrol in Kampung Gita Lama when they spotted the 24-year-old dismantling a motorcycle underneath a house at around 1.00am.
Upon checking the motorcycle, the police found that the machine was reported missing on 9 May.
The suspect from Kampung Rampagi was then taken to a police station for further investigation.
It was understood that the suspect was found positive for drugs.
