MIRI: A 21-year-old man was arrested on Monday for stealing a roll of PVC insulated cable from a shop in Piasau Industrial Estate here.
The suspect was handed over to the police after the shop owner caught him in the act around 3.40pm. The man was alleged to have taken a roll of PVC insulated cable worth RM123.70.
According to sources, the suspect is being detained by police to facilitate their investigation on the case. The offence is framed under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft.
