KUCHING: A 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of a stolen motorcycle.
The suspect from Serian was riding a motorcycle along Jalan Tabuan.at 3.00am on Thursday when a police patrol team stopped him.
When the police checked the motorcycle he was riding, they found that it was reported stolen in March.
The suspect was detained for further questioning.
Meanwhile in a separate case, a housewife was snatched of her handbag by a motorcyclist while walking alone in front of a college in BDC Stampin on Thursday morning.
The victim, 54, from Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, said she was so shocked that she could not remember the colour or the plate number of the motorcycle.
She claimed that she lost RM300 in cash, a RM400-mobile phone and personal documents.
