SIBU: An early morning crash on Sunday (Sept 12) along Tamin junction near SK Tamin, Selangau, here has claimed the life of a 28-year-old man.
In the accident, it was believed that Muhammad Lokman Mandy Abdullah from Kampung Dato here lost control of his car before plunging into a ditch.
State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said it received an emergency call from the public regarding the accident at 2.25am.
“Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the car skidded and plunged into a ditch,” it said today.
It said rescuers at the scene extricated the victim who was pinned on the driver’s side of the car.
“The victim was confirmed dead by paramedics at the scene.
“The body was handed over to the Stapang police for further action.”
