SIBURAN: A local man died, believed to be from a heart attack, after his vehicle went out of control and crashed into a road fence on the right side at Mile 17, Kuching-Serian Road today (Aug 24).

Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident occurred around 7.50am when the man identified as Green Saperk, 46, was driving towards Kuching.

“As he had no injuries it is suspected that he had a heart attack or something, and was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor from Siburan Health Clinic.

“Green’s body was sent to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for processing,” he said in a statement.

Alexson said Green’s car was taken to Padawan district police headquarters (IPD) for inspection by the Chemistry Department and the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom).

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
