KUCHING: A 67-year-old man was killed in a road accident when he lost control of a motorcycle he was riding behind the Sungai Moyan Commercial Centre here at Jalan Batu Kawa on Friday.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said in the 8.30pm incident, the deceased, identified as Chen Min Sen from Sungai Moyan was heading to Kuching when he crashed in a single-vehicle collision.
“The deceased was believed to have lost control of his motorcycle and crashed and sustained severe head injuries, among others.
“He died at the scene and was pronounced dead by paramedics at 9.45pm,” he said when contacted yesterday.
Police have visited the scene. The vehicle has been brought to the Padawan District police headquarters for Puspakom and chemical department inspection.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
