MIRI: A 34-year-old local man from Pujut Padang Kerbau here on Tuesday (Oct 5) was fined RM1,000 by the Magistrate Court for operating an online gambling business without a valid license.
Magistrate Leona Dominic Mojiliu convicted Muhammad Zulhilmi Zainal and ordered him to pay the fine under Section 3(1) of the Businesses, Professions and Trade License Ordinance.
The offence was committed at 3.30pm on July 15 this year in Lutong.
The accused was represented by counsel Firdaus Morahidi, while ASP Mary Ong prosecuted.
