KUCHING: The Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday fined a man RM2,000 for failing to control his anger and causing damage at a petrol station in Batu Kawa here.

The accused pleaded guilty to breaking a glass barrier at the petrol station’s counter at Jalan Batu Kawa, around 1.30am on Sept 29.

Magistrate Mohd Syukri Mokhtar fined the accused RM2,000 or in default, three months imprisonment.

According to the facts of the case, the accused was said to be looking for a place to pee but the toilet at the petrol station was closed.

This caused the accused to be angry and acted aggressively, thereby breaking the counter’s glass barrier.

An on-duty employee immediately lodged a police report on the incident.

Acting on the information received, a police team from Padawan IPD rushed to the scene and arrested the accused.
