SIBU: The Magistrate’s Court here today fined a 40-year-old man RM3,000, in default, three months’ imprisonment for committing mischief.
agistrate Oon Kork Chern convicted Mohammad Aznizan Hassan of Jalan Nanas, after he pleaded guilty to damaging a glass table and the main door of a house belonging to Awa Wan Zain, 67 at about 8.30am on March 27.
Earlier, in outlining the facts of the case, prosecuting officer Inspector Kumareswaran Murugan told the Court that on March 27 at approximately 8.30am, the complainant (Awa) stated that the accused came to her house in a fit of anger and acted aggressively towards her.
Police investigation revealed that, during the incident, the accused had pushed the main door of the house until it fell open.
He also broke the leg of a table as well as punched the table mirror in the living room until it cracked and broke.
The accused paid the fine.
