KUCHING: A local man was found dead near a garbage dump behind a local supermarket, here last night (Nov 3).

Kuching police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the incident was reported to authorities at around 7.50 pm by members of the public.

Upon receiving the report, a police team and paramedics were dispatched to the scene and found the victim lying on the ground with multiple injuries to his limbs.

“The 29-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, and his body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for a post-mortem.

“The case is being classified as a sudden death,” he said.

Mohd Farhan advised the public not to speculate on the incident and urged witnesses or anyone with relevant information to contact investigating officer SM Rogayah Abu Serah at 016-5779574 or visit the nearest police station to assist with investigations.
