BAU: A man’s body was found beside a motorcycle in a stream at KM13.8, Bau-Serikin Road on Monday (June 22).
According to State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the accident occurred around 8.30am when the victim, identified as Kannan Muniandy, 39, was heading to Bau Market.
“The victim lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the left side of the road and into a ditch.
“Due to the crash, the victim was thrown into a stream,” he said in a statement.
The man was pronounced dead by medical officers and his body was taken to Bau Hospital for further action.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
