KUCHING: A 25-year-old man was found dead in bed at their house in Stampin near here yesterday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Joshua Liaw Cheng Lung from Sibu.
According to the deceased’s younger brother, Joshua’s girlfriend went to his house to check on him when he did not answer her calls.
While in the house, she found Joshua’s lifeless body in his bedroom and immediately called for an ambulance and the police.
Joshua was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Based on the condition of his body, Joshua was believed to have been dead for several hours.
Police who were also at the scene did not find any criminal elements and have classified the case as sudden death.
Joshua’s remains were taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem.
