KUCHING: A man was found drowned in a swimming pool of a condominium at Jalan Tun Jugah here on Monday (July 5).

District police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah confirmed the incident in a press conference at Kuching police headquarters (IPD) today (July 6).

“We are still investigating the cause of the incident and the case is being classified as sudden death.

“Initial investigations found that there were no signs of foul play,” he said.

According to a witness in a statement, the 34-year-old victim, who had a good job, had jumped into the swimming pool.

Ahsmon noted that the victim was staying at the condominium, however, it is not known whether he was renting the place or just moved in.

He urged the public not to speculate and let the police conduct investigation.
