MUKAH: A man was found hanged from the railing of a shophouse stairway on the second floor this morning (Sept 18).

Mukah police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias ​​in a statement, said that they were alerted to the incident at around 8.45 am.

“Preliminary investigations revealed no signs of a struggle or any equipment that could have caused injuries.

“In addition, no identification documents were found on the body,” he said.

The deceased, believed to be in his 20s, was wearing a black T-shirt with ‘Sibu Bike Week 2018’ printed on it, dark blue pants, and eggplant flower (Bunga Terung) tattoos on his left and right shoulders.

Rizal stated that the body was taken to Mukah Hospital for post-mortem procedures.

The case has been classified as sudden death.

In light of this, police are seeking the public’s help to locate the deceased’s next of kin and any witnesses to contact the investigating officer SM Abdul Rahman Maerrad at 013-8029577 or the nearest police station.
