MIRI: A 26-year-old man was detained for injuring his younger sister after being told to behave.
In the incident, which occurred on Saturday (May 22) around 9.30 am in Kampung Lusut here, the suspect threw a video game controller at his sister, causing injuries to her left eye.
Acting on a report lodged by the suspect’s older sister, a team of personnel from the Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) detained the man at his home at 4.25 pm the same day.
Miri police chief ACP Hakemal Hawari said the case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
