KUCHING: The Sessions Court here on Monday (July 4) rejected the plea of ​​a man who intentionally injured his father.

Irwan Shah, 42, had earlier pleaded guilty to one charge under Section 324 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 326A of the same Code.

Judge Maris Agan released the accused on a RM4,000 bail with one local surety.

He was accused of injuring his 63-year-old father with a glass plate at their residence in Jalan Layang-Layang at about 6.50pm on June 23.

It is understood that the victim suffered serious injuries to the ear.

The court set the re-mention date for case management on Aug 4. Meanwhile, the accused’s bail was also extended.

The case was prosecuted by DPP Sangari Ponnan while the accused was not represented.
