SIBU: A man was arrested at a home in Bukit Assek Road, Sibu at about 4.05pm on 30thOctober by the Sibu District Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit (BSJND).
As a result of body inspection, Sibu police chief ACP Zailanni Amit said that police team found five transparent plastic packages of various sizes containing chunks of crystals suspected to be ‘syabu’ drug (weighing 3.60 grammes) in the suspect’s bag when arrested.
During interrogation, Zailanni said the suspect admitted the drugs were for his own use. The suspect would be remanded for investigation, he added.
The case will be investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, the police chief pointed out.
