KUCHING: Sarawak has recorded one Covid-19 related death from Sibu bringing the number of fatalities to 81 to date.
Case no. 6,673, a 77 year old local male was treated at Sibu Hospital after close contact screen test where he was involved with the Geronggang cluster in Sibu.
His rT-PCR came back positive on Feb 13 and his health deteriorated ever since.
He was announced dead on Feb 27 and had comorbid high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and had a history of having a stroke.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) extended its condolences to the family members of the deceased.
