ASAJAYA: A motorcyclist was killed in an accident along Jalan Kota Samarahan-Sadong Jaya last Saturday (Sept 25).
The incident happened around 11.20pm when the victim, identified as Anuar Apan, 24, was heading towards Asajaya.
Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the man is believed to have lost control of his motorcycle while turning at a corner.
“Due to that, the victim’s bike crashed into a muddy ditch on the left side of the road.
“Paramedics confirmed that the victim died at the scene following medical examinations,” he said.
The victim’s body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital’s morgue for further action.
Alexson noted that the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
