KUCHING: A 46-year-old man was killed in a freak gun accident on Sunday afternoon after his shotgun went off. Bong Francis died on the spot.
OCPD Samarahan DSP Lee Chong Chern said the shooting incident happened at noon in the Kampung Mang, where the group of eight went with the deceased for hunting.
They said Bong went to answer nature’s call and the shotgun was on him. It went off.
His friends rushed to his aid but he died from his wounds.
Lee said the case was being investigated and that the remains had been sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post-mortem.
