SIBU: A man died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an accident at a traffic light intersection at Jalan Ding Lik Kong here on Wednesday evening.

It was believed that Ting Ang Leong, 41, from Lorong Nang Sang, was heading home from the town centre after a drinking session when the accident occurred at around 7.20pm.

Sibu District Police chief, ACP Saiful Bahri Abdullah said the victim’s motorcycle was believed to have gone out control and crashed.

“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987,” he said when contacted here on Thursday.
