MIRI: A 50 year-old man has lodged a police report on Thursday afternoon after his stepson threatened to harm him using a pocket knife during a quarrel over a car at the former’s home in Taman Ceria in Miri.
It was understood that, the step-son became enraged after his request to borrow his stepfather’s was denied.
During the quarrel, the step-son had pulled out a pocket knife and threatened to harm the complainant.
Fortunately, no untoward incident happened as the step-son fled off the house after the quarrel.
However, fearing for his safety, the complainant immediately went to police station and lodged a police report.
According to sources, the step-son is unemployed and the complainant believed that the suspect was involved in drug related activities, apart from having no driving licence.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, two unknown men fled off a premises with loot items consisting of six jeans pants (branded jeans) on Wednesday afternoon.
Total loss was estimated at RM182.
According to sources, one of the premises’ staff had spotted the suspects acting ‘suspiciously’ holding the items before making an exit at the main entrance.
The two suspects were fled off using a motorcycle.
A police report on the incident has been made.
