Man missing from home, cousin lodges police report

MARUDI: A 58-year-old man was reported missing by his cousin after he was not found to be at his home in Jalan Lubok Nibong Puyut, Marudi today.

The missing man is identified as Donald Henry Nura.

A spokesman for the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said they received a call at around 4.10 pm from Marudi police regarding search assistance.

Following that, firemen from Marudi station were promptly despatched to the scene, some 10km from the station.

According to a police report, the victim’s cousin went to visit Donald at his house at around 7 am but only to find that no one was home.

Feeling curious, the cousin called the victim’s number but it could not be reached. A search around the house and places nearby was conducted but to no avail.

It was learnt that the victim’s cousin had also gone to the house on May 1 around 2.30 pm and Donald was not at home.

The last time both of them saw each other was on April 27 at around 3.30 pm.

As at press time, the team is still gathering information regarding Donald and the victim is yet to be found.
