KUCHING: Padawan police confirmed that a suspect has been arrested for drug possession and remanded for further questioning.
Padawan deputy police chief DSP Merbin Lisa said on Thursday afternoon that the suspect was arrested in front of a flower shop at Mile 8.
Upon inspection, he was found with 5.31g of substances believed to be syabu with a market value of RM1,062.
Merbin said the suspect also tested positive for methamphetamine.
He will be charged under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
