BAU: A man was arrested for alleged drug abuse in a house here on Thursday (September 10).
The 19-year-old male suspect was arrested in a raid conducted at Kampung Seropak by Bau District Criminal Investigation Division around 10.30am.
District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon who confirmed the arrest, said that the police found 0.28 grammes of drugs, believed to be syabu worth RM30.
“The drugs were found inside a clear plastic packet inside a brown bag.
“The suspect also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
Additionally, the suspect also has a criminal record for drug-related offences.
The case will be investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
