KUCHING: Police detained a 34-year-old man during an anti-drugs operation at a house in Kampung Petra Jaya last Tuesday evening.
The suspect, from Bintulu, was immediately arrested after anti-narcotics police personnel found seven straw tubes and ten plastic packets of crystalline substance believed to be syabu in a yellow purse during the 7.50pm raid.
The drugs with an estimated weight of 10.63 grammes and street value of RM1,913.40 were seized.
Kuching Police District chief, ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai confirmed the arrest and said the suspect tested positive for drugs.
“He is also wanted by police for a rape case in Bintulu,” he added.
