KUCHING: A police mobile patrol unit, sensing something was off, tailed a man on a motorcycle along Jalan Airport here at around 9.15am on Monday.
True enough, after hailing the motorcyclist to stop for a check, officers found that the number on the motorcycle was registered to a car.
The man was subsequently brought in for further questioning.
He had claimed that he borrowed the motorcycle from a neighbor.
The motorcycle itself was reported missing on April 28 from a shopping mall in Batu Kawa.
