MIRI: Quick action by a house owner managed to save his house and five occupants inside when fire broke out in a room in the house at Jalan Kuching Timur 3 here on Tuesday night.
According to Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, the fire only damaged about 30 percent of the room.
Eleven firemen from Miri fire station were rushed to the scene after they received an alert at 9.24pm.
There were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined as investigations are underway.
