KUCHING: A single-vehicle accident occurred at Jalan Bako, resulting in a man becoming trapped inside his vehicle today (Sept 2).
According to a statement by the Fire and Rescue Department, a distress call was received around 4.25 pm, prompting an immediate response from a team dispatched from the Petra Jaya fire station.
Upon arrival at the scene, responders found a male occupant trapped in the driver’s seat.
The four-wheeler he drove had veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Using specialised equipment, the team successfully extricated the trapped victim from the driver’s seat.
Following this, the victim was handed over to the Malaysian Red Crescent (PBSM) team for medical treatment.
The operation concluded by 4.50 pm.
