KUCHING: “Do not blame others if you are not able to deliver on your promises,” said Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring assistant minister Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.
She stated this in response to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng’s statement that legacy issues from the previous government are preventing the implementation of promises under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) manifesto, especially the oil royalty for Sabah and Sarawak.
“This was their promise last time and now it is up to them to question themselves.
“You should not blame the people if you cannot deliver,” she said when met by reporters during the Centexs-Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) Safari 2019 held at Penview Convention Centre (PCC) Demak here, yesterday.
Hasidah opined that everyone has to be responsible (for the promises they make).
“If you cannot deliver on your promises especially those in your manifesto, then it is your (PH) fault.
“Do not blame others for it or the previous government,” she reiterated.
On Sept 13, Lim stated that the previous government had caused an enormous amount of funds to either be wasted or put Malaysia in trouble thus, posing a challenge for the PH government in implementing its promises.
