KANOWIT: Two drivers can count themselves lucky for escaping a head-on collision without sustaining injuries along Jalan KJD here this morning.
The accident, involving a Toyota Avanza and a Perodua Alza, happened around 6.14 am before the Julau flyover.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Kanowit station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, the team assisted a 49-year-old woman (Alza driver) out of her vehicle whereas, a 23-year-old man (Avanza driver) managed to get out of his vehicle on his own.
Both drivers were handed over to the paramedics for a medical check-up.
