SIBU: The Sibu Division Health Department said it has been made mandatory for service sector employees who are required to frequently travel in between zones/districts to undergo the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for Covid-19 effective Tuesday (May 25).

“The test is free-of-charge and will be conducted at the Sibu Jaya Health Clinic from Monday to Friday except on public holidays,” said a spokesman of the department.

The workers are required to bring along their MyKad and a letter from their respective employers to travel between home and work.

The spokesman added that according to the conditional movement control order (CMCO) standard operating procedures (SOPs), implemented in the state from May 18 to June 7, it is mandatory for the workers to undergo the PCR test once every two weeks.
