PADAWAN: Police are hot on the trail of a suspect allegedly responsible for injuring three local men with a shotgun behind a supermarket this morning.
Padawan OCPD Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said police received a report on the incident at 1.57 am.
“The 26-year-old complainant reported that three of his friends were shot behind a supermarket along Mile 19, Jalan Kuching-Serian.
“Preliminary investigations showed that the victims, aged 24 and 25, sustained gunshot wounds to their bodies,” he said.
They are currently in stable condition at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), where they are receiving treatment.
Mohd Irwan confirmed that efforts are underway to locate and arrest the suspect.
The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code and Section 8 of the Arms (Increased Penalty) Act 1971 for attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
