SIMANGGANG: Swift action taken by a store owner managed to save his premises at Jalan Kelab here from being destroyed by a fire on Monday (Aug 9).
Firemen from Sri Aman station rushed to the scene after a distress call was received at 1.45am.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found that the owner of the premises has already extinguished the flames by using a fire extinguisher and water.
The fire had damaged 30 percent of the store and the actual cause of the fire is yet to be determined as investigations are underway.
