KUCHING: The upcoming Kuching’s Got Talent 2024 event will feature three main categories showcasing hidden talents in Sarawak.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng, announced that the categories are dance, singing, and various other talents.
He anticipated a larger turnout of participants with diverse talents for this year’s event, which is also part of the Kuching Festival.
“Auditions are scheduled for July 6 and 7 at the MBKS Auditorium from 1 pm – 6 pm. Semi-finals and finals will be held on August 10 and 11 at the MBKS Theater floating stage at Kuching Park, starting at 7 pm,” he said.
He disclosed this during a cheque handover ceremony from STM Lottery Sdn Bhd, the main sponsor of the Kuching’s Got Talent event.
Wee expressed gratitude to STM Lottery Sdn Bhd for its contribution and continued support towards the council for 36 years, contributing a sum of RM40,000 for this year’s Kuching’s Got Talent event.
The sponsorship check replica was presented by Yip Bing Tsong of STM Lottery Sdn Bhd to Wee during the event.
Also present were assistant manager of STM Lottery Sdn Bhd (Sarawak) Henry Liew, senior sales executive of STM Lottery Sdn Bhd (Kuching Branch) Helen Tan, sales executive (Kuching Branch – B) Florence Loo and other representatives.
