MIRI: A husband and wife were amongst 13 individuals arrested by the National Anti-Drug Agency (Nada) on suspicion of drug abuse in three raids held from midnight until wee hours today.
According to Nada Miri chief, Mazlan Jikran, the jobless couple was nabbed during Nada’s raid in Lembah Hijau.
The 37-year-old husband and his wife, 35, are amongst 12 tested positive for Syabu , while one suspect was found positive for Ketamine.
Mazlan added, the raids, which began at 12am and ended at 3am was joined by People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) members and officers from Subis District.
“The raid’s first location was Taman Tunku before proceeding to Lembah Hijau and Kpg Tiris , Subak, Keluru Tengah” Mazlan said when contacted by the New Sarawak Tribune.
The suspects are currently being detained and investigated under Section 3(1) of the Drug Dependents (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983.
