KUCHING: Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has clarified that Marudi district is still a green zone, after the one Covid-19 positive case reported previously was found to be under Beluru district.
“After further investigation, one local infection case reported in Marudi district on Saturday (March 20) was identified to be a case under Beluru district.
“The case got infected while visiting Miri district and therefore, Marudi district remains a green zone alongside eight other districts,” it said in a daily Covid-19 statement on Sunday (March 21).
The eight other green districts are Pakan, Matu, Lawas, Daro, Simunjan, Lubok Antu, Tebedu and Kabong.
At the same time, Bau district has turned zone status from orange to yellow after recording a total of 14 local infection cases in the last 14 days.
Sri Aman, Song, Serian, Subis, Julau, Betong, Meradong, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu districts remain as red zones with a total of 2,617 local infection cases recorded in the last 14 days.
Meanwhile, Samarahan and Sarikei districts remain in orange with a total of 60 local infection cases reported in the same period.
Alongside Bau in yellow are Mukah, Selangau, Dalat, Limbang, Telang Usan, Tanjung Manis, Kanowit, Belaga, Lundu, Bukit Mabong, Tatau, Pusa, Asajaya, Beluru, Saratok and Sebauh districts with a cumulative of 127 local infection cases.
