BAU: Mas Gading Community College recently held the Information Technology Certificate Project Competition and Exhibition, allowing students from the Information Technology Certificate course (STM30294) to showcase their innovative projects.

The event featured 16 student groups presenting projects in various categories, including mobile applications, Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, websites, multimedia and system development.

The students presented their projects to industry judges Mohd Hasnol Hot and Ahmad Raimie Ramle, who praised the advanced skills demonstrated, particularly in 4IR technologies like IoT and data analysis.
Notable projects included Sprinkler Farm Sync, Chatbot AI, and the Mas Gading Community College Short Course Information Dashboard, all of which align with the trends of Industry 4.0.

College director Khalid Husseine said the competition provides students with a platform to showcase their creativity while preparing them for a technology-driven workforce.
He stressed the importance of 4IR technology, explaining that it will significantly impact various aspects of work and life, and emphasised the need for students to master these technologies early.

The competition also aimed to enhance students’ communication skills and self-confidence through project presentations to industry judges.

Experts from the IT sector provided constructive feedback, helping students build valuable industry connections.

Mas Gading Community College plans to make the competition an annual event, with increased industry support and collaborations with government and private sectors.

The event featured awards for the Best Projects, Best Poster and Best Booth.
