KUCHING: The demise of Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing is a great loss not only to the ministry but to all Sarawakians and the country, said Datuk Julaihi Narawi.
“We, at the ministry, knew him as a leader who was full of wisdom and committed to his responsibilities to take care of the people and the state.
“As the Infrastructure and Ports Development Minister, he stressed the importance of road connectivity in rural areas, including the border security road network along the Sarawak-Kalimantan border.
“I personally knew im as an experienced leader who had contributed a lot to the administration and management of the state. This is a great loss to the leadership in Sarawak, especially among the bumiputera,” said the Assistant Minister of Infrastructure and Ports Development.
He added that Masing’s contributions and services to the development of Sarawak were undeniable.
“His passing is a great loss. On behalf of my family and staff of the ministry, I extend my condolences to his family,” he said.
