KUCHING: The Aidiladha qurban programme organised by Masjid Darulhana Patingan here drew some 140 people.

Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki said the livestock sacrificial programme, which has been held for more than 10 years, had undergone many changes.

“There are a total of 15 sacrificial sites but this (Masjid Darulhana Patingan) has to be the biggest because it receives around 16 cows, more than the rest under the Satok constituency.

“The slaughtering process was also done in an organised manner with its own zone and system, drawing the highest number of participants in the Satok area.”

Ibrahim told the media this after officiating at programme held at the compound of Masjid Darulhana Patingan on Monday (July 11).

Masjid Darulhana Patingan chairman Zamhari Hashim disclosed that a total of 112 packs of meat were distributed to those who took part.

Meanwhile, 448 packs were given to the asnaf community in Satok through the Sarawak Islamic Religious Department.
