KUALA LUMPUR: MAB Kargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) has partnered with TW Control Sdn Bhd (TWC), CORE Transport Technologies (CORE) and Nordisk Aviation Products (Nordisk) to implement a tracking solution which will allow it to monitor its containers and pallets.
In a statement today, it said the integration of the COREInsight unit load devices (ULD) tracking solution would allow MASkargo to increase its efficiency through inventory management improvements on the ground.
“The real-time tracking information would enable MASkargo to accurately monitor and re-plan shipments that are delayed due to irregular operations, such as extreme weather events,” said chief executive officer Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh.
The tracking solution will enable customers to track their containers and pallets which are supplied by Nordisk, starting from the warehouse right to the end destination.
TWC was appointed by CORE, the ULD software developer, to implement the tag and reader tracking solution for MASkargo.
MASkargo is the largest cargo ground handling agent in Malaysia and handles more than 30 customer airlines at its Advanced Cargo Centre, processing more than 800,000 air waybills per year.
It is the cargo division of the Malaysian Aviation Group and operates scheduled, chartered air cargo services, ground handling services as well as airport to seaport cargo logistics via ground transportation. – Bernama
